Privacy & Security

We are committed to your privacy and the security of your personal information when you shop with us. Our policies are here for you to review and are in effect as of January 1, 2011. We reserve the right to change or update these policies in the future, and if we do so we will post the new policies on this web page for you to review.

Collecting Information

When you purchase a product online, we ask for your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, your credit card number and its expiration date in order to fulfill your order, send you the shipping confirmation, and to contact you if there is a need regarding your order. Some information, specifically customer zip codes, will be used to track customer demographics and help us plan future store locations.

We collect the IP Address of visitors to our web page and record information on the pages that are visited. We only do so in order to collect broad demographic information about our users so that we can continually improve our site and to protect us in case of credit card fraud.
We collect the email addresses of those who volunteer to receive our e-newsletter. Of course, we will remove you from our email list immediately if you do not wish to be contacted; simply send us an email with your request.

You must be a U.S. resident 18 years of age or older in order to register with us or buy merchandise from us.

We do not sell any information that you give us and we will not turn over any information to a third party not affiliated with our company.
When you voluntarily provide us with information to make shopping easier, through the registration process, you may access that information by reviewing your account settings. You may also change that information by editing your settings directly.

Online Security

We make a concerted effort to keep all of your information secure. When you place an order with us, your credit card information is transmitted for processing via a secure server ordering process with Secured Socket Layer (SSL). When you reach our checkout page, a padlock symbol at the bottom of your screen, or on your address bar, indicates that your transaction is secure.

Online Ordering

When you place an order with us, we ask for your credit card verification number in addition to your account number. Your verification number is the three-digit number on the back of your card. This provides an extra level of security in case your credit card number is being used fraudulently.
We ask for your email address when you place an order so that we may send you a confirmation of your order. You do not have to register with us in order to place an order, but your email address is mandatory so that there is a way to communicate with you about your order.

Registering with shawnfinney.com

If you register with us, we will be able to facilitate your checkout process in the future. This is a voluntary process on your part. We will keep track of you in the future through the use of a cookie, which is a small file sent to your browser and stored on your computer. It is the standard method in the industry for keeping track of someone when they return to a given site. You can turn off the use of cookies in your browser if you wish, but by doing so you will be unable to take advantage of the registration features.
